life can feel easier

Does this sound like you?

Most adults who reach this page have been thinking about ADHD for a long time. Here's what they tell me when we meet.

01

"I've been told I'm bright and capable my whole life."

But the day-to-day still feels harder than it should, and you can't quite put your finger on why. Effort doesn't translate into output the way it seems to for other people.

02

"I can hyperfocus for hours, then stall on a two-line email for a week."

Some things grip you completely. Others feel impossible to start. The inconsistency is exhausting, and "just try harder" stopped working a long time ago.

03

"I've built a life that looks organised by working twice as hard."

From the outside it holds together. From the inside, it runs on coffee, lists, and last-minute pressure, and the cost of keeping it up is starting to show.

04

"I've started to wonder if it isn't motivation, discipline or character."

You don't want a label for the sake of one. You want an honest, expert answer about whether something else has quietly been shaping all of this.

How it works

A simple route to clarity.

A straightforward, structured process designed to give you a clear answer without making things feel more complicated than they need to be.

01

Start with a free consultation call.

A short, informal call to talk through your situation, answer any questions and decide whether a full ADHD assessment feels right for you.

02

Complete the background questionnaires.

If you decide to book, you complete a set of questionnaires at home, in your own time. These help build a clear picture before the clinical appointment.

03

Attend your online assessment.

You can book your assessment quickly, with no waiting list. The appointment is a structured, NICE-compliant clinical interview completed online with Dr Alex Hull.

04

Feedback and detailed report.

You have a feedback appointment to talk through the outcome, followed by a clear written report with diagnosis and practical next steps.

Testimonials

Kind words from people I’ve assessed.

Anonymised feedback from adults who have completed an ADHD assessment with ADHD Resolve.

“The pre-assessment paperwork could be done at my own pace. By the time I sat down with Alex, he had clearly read every word of it, and the session felt genuinely personal rather than formulaic.”

M, 37

“What I appreciated most was that Alex was careful to consider what else might be going on. The diagnosis, when it came, felt earned rather than assumed.”

S, 44

“It didn’t feel like an exam. It felt like being properly seen by someone who actually knew what he was looking at. I would not have wanted it done any other way.”

R, 32

“The report was the clearest and most useful document I’ve ever been given by a health professional. It helped me understand myself properly for the first time.”

K, 49

“Forty years of trying to work out what was wrong with me. One afternoon with Alex and I had the beginning of an answer.”

A, 40

“What surprised me was that the support didn’t just end when the report arrived. When I had questions afterwards, Alex answered them properly and carefully.”

Frequently asked questions

Some of the most common questions we receive are here. If you'd like to ask anything else, please get in touch.

Yes. HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists are qualified to assess and diagnose ADHD in adults. Dr Hull has been specialising in adult ADHD since 2013 and has completed over 1,000 assessments. The diagnostic report is NICE-compliant and is written to be clear, robust, and suitable for sharing with GPs, employers, universities, and other relevant professionals.

In most cases, a NICE-compliant diagnostic report from an HCPC-registered specialist gives GPs and other professionals the clinical information they need to understand the outcome of the assessment. Acceptance of any private report can depend on local policies and individual services, so if you have specific concerns about your GP's approach, we can talk this through on the free consultation call before you decide anything.

You still leave with something genuinely useful. Every assessment ends with a full feedback session and a detailed written report, regardless of the outcome. If ADHD is not the right explanation, the report will clearly set out what the assessment found, what else might be contributing to the difficulties you have been experiencing, and what next steps might help. A clear answer, in either direction, has real value.

Yes. The clinical interview, which is the core of any ADHD assessment, works equally well online. QbCheck, the objective computerised attention test included as standard, is also completed online. NICE guidelines do not require the assessment to be conducted in person, and the research evidence supports the validity of online assessment when conducted properly. Many people also find the online format more comfortable and less disruptive to their day.

This is very common, and it is something Dr Hull assesses carefully. Many of the difficulties associated with ADHD overlap with anxiety, depression, burnout, and autism, and a thorough assessment needs to take all of these possibilities seriously. The report will reflect the full picture. If other areas need further specialist input, this will be discussed clearly during your feedback session.

No. You can self-refer directly, with no GP permission required. If you would like your GP to be kept informed at any stage, the report can be shared with them, but only with your written consent.

Most people move from their free consultation call to receiving their written report within four to six weeks. The assessment itself is a single online appointment, with background questionnaires completed beforehand at your own pace and a feedback session arranged shortly after.

Everything. The free 15-minute consultation call, background questionnaires, the full clinical assessment appointment with Dr Hull, the QbCheck objective attention test, a dedicated feedback session, and a detailed written diagnostic report. There are no add-ons, no hidden fees, and no upsells. The price you see is the price you pay.
